Brendan Rodgers ruined his legacy at Celtic in the eyes of many fans when he decided to leave the club in the middle of the season in order to make the jump to Leicester City and complete a return to the Premier League. As a result, the Northern Irish manager is not remembered as fondly at Parkhead as some of his achievements deserve.

Now, to be fair, Rodgers has enjoyed quite a bit of success during his time as the manager of Leicester City, winning the FA Cup and the Community Shield, guiding them to top five finishes and the Europa League. But at the moment, he finds himself walking the managerial tightrope.

Leicester City sit at the bottom of the Premier League table and have one point from their first seven games of the season. Thus, it goes without saying that Rodgers could be shown the exit door if things don’t improve as soon as possible.

One man who has been linked with the Leicester City job is Ange Postecoglou. But will the current Celtic boss take the same path that Rodgers did a few years back?

Postecoglou breaks silence on Celtic exit rumours and Leicester City links

Amidst all the Leicester City rumours, as reported by The Scottish Sun, Postecoglou told Fox Sports Australia:

"“It’s not really on my radar.“It’s a bit like our players, I keep saying to them that if they do what they do well, all this other stuff takes care of itself, whatever their ambitions or my ambitions may be.“My ambition’s always been the same wherever I’ve been, to be as successful as I can.“I’ve charted a course that’s got me to where I am today, I’ve just tried to do it to the best of my ability and opportunities arise from there.“Right now, I’m at a massive football club, mate.“I’m living the dream, I’m enjoying every minute of it, and I’m determined to bring as much success as I can to it while I’m here.”"

Of course, Leicester City are not the only Premier League club that Postecoglou has been linked with in recent times.

He was rumoured to be one of the favourites for the Brighton & Hove Albion job as well, when Graham Potter left in order to replace Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea. And as long as Celtic continue to enjoy success on the pitch, one can rest assured that Postecoglou will continue to be linked Premier League clubs throughout the course of the season, every time there is a managerial change.
