Celtic star might have dropped hint about future exit plans
Celtic have signed some brilliant names during the time of Ange Postecoglou as manager. In many ways, that has been their biggest strength and helped them turn things around so quickly and win a Premiership and League Cup double last season. Liel Abada remains one of those excellent additions. After showing glimpses of his brilliance with Maccabi Petah Tikva in Israel, he moved to Parkhead last summer as a teenager.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, the 20-year-old went on to register 15 goals and 11 assists from 54 appearances across all competitions in his first season for Celtic.
This season, Abada has picked up from where he left off. While he might not have nailed down his position as a starter in Postecoglou’s side, his stats remain fantastic. And the highlight has easily been a brace against the Rangers a fortnight back to help the Hoops to a 4-0 victory.
A player of his quality and age is expected attract the interest of multiple clubs across Europe. And considering his latest move, it feels like he might have already started thinking about his future beyond Celtic.
Celtic star swaps agent and could it be a hint about the future?
As reported by Football Scotland, Abada has switched agents as he looks to strengthen his position in the transfer market, with Premier League clubs rumoured to be circling. Having previously been represented by Dudu Dahan, someone Celtic will know well, the attacker has opted to make a change and linked up with Hussein Al Gaaod, who also represents Josip Juranovic.
Juranovic was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in the summer transfer window, with clubs such as Manchester United and Chelsea believed to have been keeping tabs on the full-back.
Abada is believed to be happy at Celtic but a change in agents might hint that he would be ready to make a move, if a club from one of the stronger leagues come calling.
