It is safe to say that Kyogo Furuhashi is one of the most popular players that Celtic have had in a long, long time. The Japanese star hit the ground running since his first start for the club and has continued to find the back of the net since then. The only problem that he has faced during that period of time is injuries.

Kyogo has had to deal with multiple during his time at Celtic already, which have kept him out on the sidelines for significant lengths of time and fans will be hoping that he can avoid more in the future.

Fears were raised in the Hoops’ 4-0 win over the Rangers at Parkhead earlier in the season though, when Kyogo had to be substituted off very early on in the game with an injury and there were concerns that he might have picked up another long-term issue.

And Kyogo has admitted that there were worries about the injury from the game against the Rangers but has assured that he is fit now. As reported by Football Scotland, the Japanese star wrote in his The Mainichi column:

"“I was injured in the league match (with Rangers), and I caused everyone to worry, but now there is no problem at all. I am full of feelings that I want to give back with more goals and victories.”"

It is great that Kyogo was able to avoid any long-term problem against the Rangers and that could have put the Hoops in trouble.

Interestingly, the club is yet to win a game since that win over the Rangers though. They have lost against Real Madrid and St Mirren while their game against Shakhtar Donetsk ended up as a draw. Also, Kyogo has not scored since then.

Celtic will need to pick themselves back up after the international break. The gap with the Rangers has been reduced to just two points while Champions League qualification is looking very difficult.
