No Celtic fan wants to see Ange Postecoglou leave the club anytime in the near future. If the Hoops continue to experience success like they have under the former Australian national team manager, there is a very real possibility that Premier League clubs could come calling and there is an acceptance that he will probably leave for a club down South one day, but the supporters hope that that day is far away from now.

That has not stopped Postecoglou from being already linked with a switch to the Premier League though. He was rumoured to be one of the favourites for the Brighton & Hove Albion job, although a move did not happen.

And Celtic fans can rest assured that as more clubs sack their managers through the course of the campaign, the name of Postecoglou will be linked with many of them as well.

But the manager himself seems to have a dropped a hint about his own future by revealing how the club are already preparing for the next three, four transfer windows. As reported by The Scottish Sun, Postecoglou said:

"“Mark Lawwell knows how I look at things and we’re planning for the next two, three, four windows, and trying to project what we’ll need and potentially what gaps we may have.“We look at the age demographic of our list and though we have a lot in the younger bracket at the moment we know that in the next few years some of our players will move on.“So we have to make sure we have players in the age group underneath who we can bring in and develop.“You don’t just look at what the immediate concerns are, you look at medium-term and longer-term issues.”"

Postecoglou’s comments seem to hint a long-term future at Celtic

Those do not sound like the comments of a man who is planning to leave Celtic any time soon and appears to be preparing for the club to be successful under his management for the next few years at least.

Yes, things can change very quickly in football and if an offer came from a side like Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool or even Tottenham Hotspur, not many Celtic fans would blame Postecoglou for making a move.

But other than that, it does not feel that someone like Postecoglou would be too keen to make a move down South so early into his time at Celtic.
