Celtic’s strongest suit since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager has probably been their recruitment. Yes, there have been some moves that have not worked but overall, the club have been remarkable when it comes to recognising players who will fit into the system and we are seeing the results on the pitch.

The dust has just settled on the summer transfer window but it looks like the Hoops have already turned their attention towards the January transfer window as well.

As reported by the Daily Record, Postecoglou has a list of January transfer targets in case any of Celtic’s World Cup stars end up leaving and one player on his radar is Israeli wonder kid Oscar Gloukh.

Gloukh is 18 years of age and currently plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he is already making huge waves and a move away to one of Europe’s big leagues only seems like a matter of time.

Celtic have been linked with January move for incredible Israeli midfield talent

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Gloukh has scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 5 league appearances for Maccabi Tel Aviv this season. Those are incredible numbers, especially when you consider that he is still just 18 years of age.

Celtic have signed a number of top talents from Israel over the years and could they add the name of Gloukh to that list soon as well.

It was just last summer that the Hoops signed Liel Abada and that move has worked out quite well. While the youngster still has a lot of areas of his game that he still needs to work on, that is natural considering his age. If he can continue developing at this rate, Abada will be a top player very soon.

Now, it remains to be seen if Celtic are able to sign Gloukh in the near future as well, as it looks like he has a ton of potential.
