RB Leipzig suffer major injury blow ahead of Celtic games
The games between Celtic and RB Leipzig could prove to be vital when it comes to both clubs’ hopes of making it out of their Champions League group and getting to the knockout phase of the competition. The Hoops started with a 3-0 loss against Real Madrid. The major surprise though, was the 4-1 defeat suffered by the Bundesliga giants against Shakhtar Donetsk.
That result, as well as a poor start to the campaign overall, led to RB Leipzig showing Domenico Tedesco the exit door. Marco Rose has replaced him as manager and they seem to have bounced back as a result, beating Borussia Dortmund 3-0 last weekend.
Real Madrid are expected to top the group, unless something unexpected happens. But the race for the second spot seems to be pretty open. Thus, Celtic will know that a couple of good results against RB Leipzig could be huge.
Also, it looks like the German club have suffered a major injury blow. As tweeted out by Derek Rae, RB Leipzig will be without Konrad Laimer for several weeks, as he has suffered an injury:

It is still unclear how long Laimer will be out of action for but several weeks would suggest that he will not be available for more than two.
The first game between Celtic and RB Leipzig is around three weeks away while the second one will be played the following week.
Thus, it is very possible that Laimer could end up missing one, if not both, games against Celtic for RB Leipzig.
He is not the only player that the Bundesliga side are missing at this point of time through injury though. Dani Olmo might also not return in time to feature in the game against Celtic.
