Tom Rogic has finally found a new club after leaving Celtic at the end of last season. The Australian international has joined West Bromwich Albion, who currently sit at 16th in the English Championship. This is a new and different challenge for the midfielder for sure, who spent nearly a decade with the Hoops and won silverware on a consistent basis.

Rogic surprisingly decided to leave Celtic at the end of the previous campaign. The timing did shock a lot of fans. The Australian had stuck through so many high and lows, and had not even been a regular in the first-team for quite a while. But he decided to bring the curtain down on his Parkhead career, after a season in which he was a consistent starter and had played some of the best football of his career under the management of Ange Postecoglou.

At the same time though, it is easy to understand why he would want a bit of change in scenery. He had done almost everything that there was to do in a Celtic jersey.

Speaking to West Bromwich Albion’s official website for the first time, Rogic said regarding his time at Celtic and his exit:

"“I’d been set in one place for quite a while and I was looking for a new challenge and a change of scenery and I certainly have that here, so I’m really looking forward to getting started.“I have a lot of fond memories from my time at Celtic and I was fortunate to have the perfect send off there.“But, as I say, I was looking for a change of scenery and a fresh challenge.”"

Rogic was part of some of the biggest moments in Celtic’s history and as a result, he will remain a part of the club’s folklore for the rest of time.

It might feel like Rogic has been around forever but he is still just 29 years of age and very much in the prime of his career.

Thus, it will be very interesting to see how he will do in the English Championship and at a club like West Bromwich Albion. We can only wish him the best of luck in his new journey and hope to see him succeed.
