Not even the most enthusiastic of Celtic fans could have predicted that the club would get a 9-0 win against Dundee United away at Tannadice Park. Kyogo Furuhashi scored a first half hattrick on the day, while Liel Abada also found the back of the net three times. The three other scorers were Jota, Josip Juranovic and Carl Starfelt.

Thus, it is safe to say that it was a humongous win for the Bhoys, as they head towards a few important fixtures over the coming weeks. They will face the Rangers next weekend and then start off their UEFA Champions League campaign in a game against the mighty Real Madrid.

Thus, the nine goals against Dundee United must have done their confidence a world of good. But at the same time, it does not look like the players are satisfied.

In fact, Kyogo, who scored a brilliant hattrick on the day, which included a stunning effort from distance, believes that Celtic need to improve on their finishing. That is not something you expect to hear from someone whose side just put the ball into the back of the net nine times. As reported by The Herald, he said:

"“I have never been involved in a scoreline like that.“I am happy with the hat-trick and I am happy with the team and the victory as we scored a lot of goals.“First of all, my teammates always provide me with good passes. The first aim (for the season) would be 20 goals and then I would like to reach 30 and more.“It is the result of our football and what we have been working on. We are happy with the result, but we still have a lot of things to do.“We certainly had more opportunities, but we need to improve our finishing quality although we have the confidence from scoring nine goals in this game.”"

Kyogo believes Celtic need to improve their finishing despite 9-0 win vs Dundee United

This statement just goes onto show the hunger that some of these Celtic players have to get better and that is a wonderful thing to be honest.

It is not easy to want to get better at finishing when you are scoring 9 goals against a first division side that might be going through a tough time at the moment but did finish fourth last season.

Individually, Kyogo has been in spectacular form this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 6 goals and provided 1 assist in 5 appearances in the 2022/23 campaign till now.
