Celtic’s squad for the season has pretty much taken shape till now, as they recently added the name of Sead Haksabanovic to their list of summer signings. That list also includes the names of Aaron Mooy, Alexandro Bernabei, Benjamin Siegrist and Moritz Jenz, on loan from Lorient, while the likes of Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Daizen Maeda have been signed on a permanent basis after extremely successful loan spells last season.

Thus, Celtic fans have very little to complain about when it comes to incomings. In fact, the club have been more active than most people would have expected, which is certainly a rare event.

There have been quite a few outgoings as well though, with the biggest being the loan exits of Vasilis Barkas and Ismaila Soro, along with the permanent departures of Christopher Jullien and Boli Bolingoli. There could be more to follow though.

As reported by Scottish Daily Express, Blackpool are on the verge of signing Celtic’s Owen Moffat. Michael Appleton is a keen admirer of the winger, and is closing in on his signature on a permanent transfer.

Moffat was very highly rated while coming through the ranks at Celtic and viewed as someone who could establish himself as a star in the first-team.

Unfortunately, that has not happened and he has only been able to make a few appearances for the first-team till now and his chances of becoming a regular feature anytime soon are slim to none. As a result, a move away might be a good idea.

Celtic recently signed Haksabanovic, who added further depth on the wings, although attacking midfield appears to be his strongest position.

Blackpool currently are in the English Championship and even if Moffat ends up joining them, he would have to rise through the developmental ranks there as well.
