Brendan Rodgers achieved a lot of success during his time at Celtic but he is not remembered fondly by the club’s fans, because of the manner in which he left, departing in the middle of the 2018/19 campaign. A lot of Hoops supporters are angry with him to this day because of it. And it looks like Leicester City fans are not particularly happy with him at the moment either.

The Foxes are struggling currently and had a bit of a disappointing 2021/22 season too, after back to back 5th place finishes before that.

Leicester City are in the relegation zone at the moment, sitting at 19th with just a single point to their name. And their fans seem to be starting to lose patience after the Foxes lost at home to Southampton on Saturday.

It is of course incredibly early to be worried about league positions, but the wheels might be starting to fall off for Leicester City already. Foxes Talk has a poll up about whether Rodgers should remain at the club or go, with more than 90% of fans voting for his exit. We also saw #RodgersOut trend on Twitter this weekend.

Leicester City fans seem to have turned on former Celtic manager after disastrous start to the season

It is early doors as the saying goes, we’re only three games into the Premier League season. It’s hard times for Rodgers though and you wonder if he has already been planning an exit.

He is not the only one to blame for the Foxes’ poor start to the season either though, as it must be pointed out that the club have not brought in new players this summer while top stars like Wesley Fofana and Youri Tielemans could be on their way out.

Now, it remains to be seen how long Rodgers stays at Leicester City, with whom he has won the FA Cup and Community Shield, and guided them to European football as well
