Journalist makes £20 million claim about Celtic target
Things just never seem to stop around Celtic. The club will be defending their Scottish crown against the Rangers, and have a chance to build up a two-point gap, when they come up against Hearts at Parkhead, after Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side could only manage a 2-2 draw vs Hibernian.
Thus, it is understandable that the eyes of every Celtic fan will be on the match against Hearts, but exciting things could be taking place off the pitch as well, as it looks like the club are closing in on another signing.
The player in question is Sead Haksabanovic, with some rumours even suggesting that Celtic have already agreed a transfer fee with Rubin Kazan for the Montenegro international.
Haksabanovic did not have a very good campaign with Rubin Kazan, after joining them last summer, but it looks like he remains very highly rated. As reported by CeltsAreHere, Swedish journalist Daniel Kristofferson said:
"“Celtic is a step for him to develop and play in the Champions League.“He can be sold from Celtic in one or two years for very, very big money because what I’ve seen of the Scottish league is good, Celtic is a fantastic team, but I think in two or three years he can go to a Premier League club for 10 or 20 million pounds.”"
Journalist makes massive claim about rumoured Celtic transfer target
Haksabanovic has already been on the end of a big move recently. It is believed that Rubin Kazan shelled out a transfer fee around £6 million to sign him from IFK Norrkoping.
Things have not clearly worked out as they would have hoped and now, it looks almost inevitable that the versatile star will be heading out of the Russian club this summer.
Haksabanovic is rumoured to be training on his own at the moment and it is believed that he will be leaving Rubin Kazan for a transfer fee significantly lower than the £6 million that they shelled out to bring him to the club not too long ago.
It remains to be seen if Haksabanovic ends up at Celtic or not. But it does seem like he is very highly rated by many, despite his uninspiring performances in recent times, which is a very good sign.
