Celtic fans must be delighted that the club have already managed to open up a two-point lead over the Rangers. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side dropped a couple of points in their 2-2 draw vs Hibernian. Thus, the Hoops knew that they had the chance to create a gap coming into their game against Hearts.

While Ange Postecoglou’s side did not appear to be on the top of their game, they did manage to get the job done, with a 2-0 win, which secured all three points on the day. Kyogo and Giorgos Giakoumakis found themselves on the scoresheet once again, as they continued their hot streak in front of goal.

Thus, Celtic must be very, very confident ahead of their next Premiership game against Dundee United. But at the same time, there is also the Champions League group stage draw to look forward to. The Hoops will be making their return to the competition after several years and will get the chance to face some of the biggest teams in Europe once again.

As reported by the Daily Record, names such as Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti were put to Postecoglou post-match, and the Celtic manager replied:

"“It’s a big moment for our club. None of them play so I don’t have to worry about them! It’s the players you need to worry about.“It’s exciting for our football club. It’s a while since we’ve been in the group stage and I’m sure on Thursday all our support will be looking at it, it’ll be exciting and we’re all looking forward to it.”"

Postecoglou comments on Guardiola, Klopp and Ancelotti ahead of Celtic’s Champions League campaign

It is safe to say that Celtic fans will be hoping to be drawn against some of the best teams in Europe this time around.

It has been a long time since Parkhead has witnessed a big Champions League night and it is safe to say that it is going to be a special occasion for sure.

It will also be the same for a number of the players and the manager, who will be getting their first taste of Champions League football.

When it comes to the likes of Guardiola, Klopp and Ancelotti, there is a good chance that one of them could be seen on the Parkhead touchline in the near future. It will be interesting to see how Postecoglou matches up against managers of that calibre.
