Tom Rogic sprang up a surprise when he decided to leave Celtic at the end of last season. The Australian had been through so many ups and downs at the club, that it was a shock that he decided to leave right after he had managed to find his way back into the starting XI after a few years on the fringes of the squad. He was also playing some of the best football of his career under Ange Postecoglou’s management.

But then, Rogic had been at Celtic for almost a decade and it was understandable that he might have been looking for a challenge. Winning the Premiership gave him a chance to leave on top.

Since then, he appears to have struggled to find a new home though. He had been linked with a big move to Indonesia, a reunion with Neil Lennon at Omonia Nicosia and even a return to Australia, but none of those have transpired till now. But just when it was looking like Rogic might not be able to find himself a new club, things have taken an unexpected turn.

As reported by the Daily Record, Frank Lampard is rumoured to be considering a deal for Rogic as he aims to add some substance to his Everton engine room.

It would be a big surprise if Rogic did end up joining Everton and it would be a move that not many would have seen coming.

Let’s see what ends up happening but if the Australian does end up at Everton, it would be a well deserved move for sure.

On top of his game, Rogic is definitely good enough to be playing in the Premier League. He has a penchant for the big moments as well and Everton could need a few of those, if they end up in a relegation battle once again this season.
