Celtic have enjoyed a very good transfer window till now. The club have already strengthened their squad, and are believed to be closing in on another signing in the form of Sead Haksabanovic, who looks set to leave Rubin Kazan. On the other hand, quite a few players have left Parkhead as well, although there has been no real blockbuster exit this summer, meaning the club have managed to keep the core of their squad together.

The likes of Vasilis Barkas and Ismaila Soro have left on loan, while Boli Bolingoli completed a permanent exit. A few other players have left as well, whether on a permanent basis or on loan.

And it was starting to look like Celtic were set to receive a cash windfall as well, with Manchester United being linked with a move for Moussa Dembele. The Hoops have a sell-on clause for the Frenchman. But there could be some bad news for the club in that regard.

As reported by RMC Sport (via Daily Record), Juventus could look to sign Dembele on a free transfer next summer. While Lyon are looking to find the striker a new club, it is believed that he is no particular rush to leave.

Juventus transfer plan could hand big blow to Celtic

If Juventus are indeed able to sign Dembele on a free transfer next summer, when his Lyon deal runs out, then it would be a big blow for Celtic, as they would not be receiving any cash windfall for the Frenchman.

On the other hand, if Manchester United do indeed end up calling for his services this summer, and agree a fee with Lyon, it is hard to see him turning that chance down in hopes of a potential move to Juventus in the future.

It remains to be seen how things turn out for Dembele. But when it comes to Celtic fans, they would surely be hoping that he leaves Lyon this summer for a significant transfer fee, rather than leaving for nothing a year later.
