Ange Postecoglou had hinted that Celtic were going to be making more signings before the transfer window slammed shut and it looks like the Hoops are set to deliver. The club have already welcomed four new faces to Parkhead this summer in the form of Aaron Mooy, Alexandro Bernabei, Benjamin Siegrist and Moritz Jenz, and now, it looks like the name of Sead Haksabanovic could be added to that list soon.

Haksabanovic joined Rubin Kazan last summer for a transfer fee believed to be around €6.5 million, after a brilliant spell at IFK Norrkoping.

Unfortunately for Haksabanovic, it has not worked out at Rubin Kazan and he looks to be on the move already. He had been signed by West Ham United as a teenager as well, and that move did not work out either.

As tweeted out by Russian Football News, Rubin Kazan have agreed a transfer fee with Celtic for Haksabanovic that is less than the €6.5 million that they shelled out for him last summer:

Celtic have agreed transfer fee with Rubin Kazan for Haksabanovic

If Haksabanovic does indeed end up at Parkhead, it would be an interesting move on the part of Celtic for sure.

He is not coming off of a great campaign. But at the same time, there is no question that on the top of his game, he is a very good player and is still just 23 years of age. Postecoglou has also showed a knack for getting the best out of underperforming players during his time at Celtic, with the likes of Jota, Tom Rogic and Greg Taylor being prime examples. One would hope that he would be able to do the same with someone like Haksabanovic as well.

One has to question whether Celtic need another left winger at the moment, with Jota and Daizen Maeda already at the club. Haksabanovic has the ability to play on the opposite flank as well as an attacking midfielder too though.
