The game between Celtic and Ross County was much tighter than most of the Hoops’ fans would have been hoping for. In fact, for a long time, it looked like Ange Postecoglou’s side were going to drop points away from home. Kyogo Furuhashi had opened the scoring but the home team had found a equaliser, and that is how it remained till the 84th minute.
Moritz Jenz would crop up with a goal on his debut for the club though, which put them 2-1 ahead. And then Liel Abada scored in added time to put the result beyond any doubt. Celtic walked out with a hard-earned 3-1 victory away from home on the day.
There was more bad news for Ross County though. As reported by The Scotsman, a tackle on Jota has resulted in a broken leg for defender Connor Randall. He had to come off in the 71st minute of the game after injuring himself in the process of stopping the Portuguese winger, who ended the day with three assists to his name.
It looks like Randall will be out for a significant length of time as well. Ross County tweeted out:
"We can today confirm that Connor Randall has suffered a fractured bone in his leg during Saturday’s match with Celtic that will keep him out for a significant period of time.Connor has now started his road to recovery and we know he will come back stronger than before."
Ross County player confirmed to have broken leg vs Celtic
It is never good to see a player getting injured on the pitch. We can only wish Randall a speedy recovery and hope that he is back on the pitch as soon as possible.
On the other hand, Celtic will go on an away trip once again this weekend, this time to take on Kilmarnock.
Of course, this might be another tricky trip for the Hoops, who have won both their games till now and sit on the top of the Premiership table, but they have not looked at their best. They came very close to dropping points against Ross County and the performance against Aberdeen was not the best either.
