Celtic should sign fantastic Arsenal winger on loan

The Celtic squad has much more depth this time around than it did last season. But still, there are a few areas where they could do with some reinforcements. One such area is the wings, as the Hoops do not have an abundance of options there at this point of time. Thus, bringing in a winger on loan from Arsenal this summer might not be a bad idea.

It is safe to say that Jota has been brilliant this season, and Liel Abada has a lot of potential as well. It is not hard to see what Daizen Maeda brings to the table but at the same time, some fans have raised questions about his effectiveness in the final third of the pitch.

On the other hand, James Forrest has struggled with form and fitness for a long time, while Mikey Johnston has been linked with a move away this summer. Karamoko Dembele has also departed the club. Thus, while the position has flown under the radar, Celtic could do with another winger.

In this respect, Reiss Nelson of Arsenal could be a fantastic addition. The 22-year-old could find it difficult to break into Mikel Arteta’s side on a consistent basis this season. Thus, a loan move to Celtic, where he would get the chance to play Champions League football, might very well hold appeal.

Nelson might not have been able to nail down a spot in the Arsenal starting XI, but there is no question about his potential.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 7 goals and provided an assist in 23 Bundesliga appearances for TSG Hoffenheim on loan. He also scored 4 goals and provided 7 assists in 32 appearances for Feyenoord on loan.

Thus, there is very little doubt about the fact that there is a player in there in Nelson and he could be a very good addition to this Celtic team on loan.
