The current Celtic side looks very different to the team from a few years back, as the squad has undergone a massive overhaul since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager. Kyogo, Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Giorgos Giakoumakis, and several others have arrived, and established themselves as key players. On the other hand, a number of long-time stars like Scott Brown, Odsonne Edouard, Kris Ajer, Ryan Christie, Tom Rogic, Nir Bitton and several others are no longer at the club.

Another huge name who is no longer with Celtic is Leigh Griffiths, although in his case, he was struggling to get into the first-team for a while before his time at Parkhead came to an end.

Griffiths was sent on loan to Dundee FC last season but he struggled there and Celtic would ultimately decide to part ways with the Scottish striker. He would then spend time at League One side, Falkirk, but shockingly, could not make an impact there either.

Now, Griffiths has joined Australian third tier side, Mandurah City FC. Anthony Joseph tweeted out:

It is always sad to see a mercurial talent like Griffiths lose his way. On top of his game, he was arguably the best player in Scotland and at one point of time, had scored 40 goals for Celtic in a single season.

He is still just 31 years of age and on paper, should have plenty of football left in the tank. But he has not been able to showcase his best for a long time now.

Even then, not many people would have expected Griffiths to move to the third tier of Australian football. It remains to be seen how he does there and we can only hope that he is able to turn his career around, and achieve some sort of success Down Under.
