Celtic have made a great start to what is one of their most important seasons in a long time. The Hoops managed to win the Premiership title last season against all odds and expectations. This time around though, the onus is on them to defend their crown against the Rangers. On the other hand, the Glasgow giants will also be making their return to the Champions League after many years and must be keen to make an impression in Europe’s elite competition.

In Ange Postecoglou, they have a man in the managerial hot seat, who has defied all expectations since his arrival and deserves immense credit for the job that he has done. Many had questioned whether he was good enough to manage Celtic. It has not taken the former Australian national team boss long to prove the doubters wrong.

He appears to have been handed a major worry though. Rumours had broken out yesterday that long-time Celtic coach, John Kennedy, was being considered by FC Midtjylland as a potential manager for the Danish club. And now, things appear to be picking up pace.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Kennedy could be on the verge of a Celtic exit in order to become new FC Midtjylland manager. He is believed to be a strong contender for the job and would be prepared to consider an offer from the Danish club’s chiefs.

Not too long ago, a lot of Celtic fans wanted the club to let go of Kennedy, after the disastrous 2020/21 season, when the Hoops finished trophyless, 25 points behind the Rangers and lost their chance of winning 10IAR.

It is safe to say that the situation has changed quite a bit since then, as Kennedy has shown his quality as the assistant manager to Postecoglou.

If he did leave the club now, it would be a cause for worry. Not only will Celtic be losing a major part of their coaching team but also someone with immense experience at Parkhead as well as in Scottish football.
