Celtic have enjoyed a great run ever since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager last summer. When he arrived, there were very few expectations as the club had endured a terrible 2020/21 campaign and it looked the Rangers were miles ahead of them. There were question marks about his own credentials as well.

While Postecoglou had achieved a lot of success in both Japan and Australia, he had never managed a top team in Europe before Celtic. Ultimately, it has proven to be an inspired decision on the part of the Hoops to bring in the former Australian national team manager, as he guided them to a Premiership and League Cup double against all odds last season.

This time around, they have made a bright start as well, having won both of their games in the Premiership till now and sit at the top of the table as a result. Yet, Postecoglou might be handed a major worry soon.

As reported by Daily Record, according to a discussion on The Transfer Window Podcast from Danish outlet BT, John Kennedy could be a potential option for the FC Midtjylland job after Bo Henriksen was shown the exit door.

It is safe to say that a large section of Celtic fans wanted the club to part ways with Kennedy after the disaster that was the 2020/21 campaign.

The long-time Celtic coach has gotten his redemption though, by helping Postecoglou’s side win the double last season even when nobody expected them to.

He has been linked with a move away from Celtic several times in the past without it ever materialising. Could he decide to finally bring an end to his long run at Parkhead though and try his hand at management finally?
