Celtic are one of the best supported clubs in the world and have no lack of famous fans either. Of course, the two most well known of them are Rod Stewart and Snoop Dogg. Earlier this year, we saw Ariel Helwani start supporting the club as well, and now, it looks like a former NFL quarterback is also backing the Hoops.

The former NFL star in question is Dan Orlovsky, who represented a number of NFL franchises through the course of his career, like the Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams.

While never really a franchise quarter-back, Orlovsky did spent a long time in the NFL and has found success after the end of his playing career as an analyst for ESPN.

It looks like American football is not the only kind of football that Orlovsky is interested in though, as he posted a video of himself on Twitter in a Celtic jersey ahead of their season opener against Aberdeen and proclaimed them to be the greatest soccer team in the world.

Orlovsky must have been happy with what he saw on the pitch. Not only did Celtic manage to get a 2-0 win over Aberdeen on Flag Day to kick start their title defence on the right foot but Parkhead was absolutely electric as well, with the incredible tifo display a sight to behold.

This promises to be a huge season for Celtic. Not only do they have the Scottish crown to defend against the Rangers, but they are guaranteed a place in the Champions League group stage as well.

If Ange Postecoglou’s side can do well in Europe’s elite competition, then their support around the world will only grow further.
