Celtic is without doubt one of the biggest clubs in the world but the reality of the situation is that often times, the club, and Scottish football as a whole, ends up becoming a stepping stone to the bigger leagues for many players. This has happened summer after summer, and we have seen a number of stars depart Parkhead and thrive in the Premier League. Could another one join that list soon?

Celtic signed Kyogo Furuhashi from Vissel Kobe last summer. In his debut season in Scotland, the Japanese forward was absolutely stunning, taking the league by storm and helping the club to a Premiership and League Cup double, even scoring twice in the final vs Hibernian.

Nevertheless, the drawback of a stellar season always remains the interest that Kyogo has received and will receive moving forward. There is no doubt that he must already be on the radar of clubs down South.

Journalist Robin Bairner has tipped Kyogo as someone who can eventually end up making the move to the Premier League. As reported by This is Futbol, while speaking to the Que Golazo YouTube channel, he said:

"“In terms of the offensive line you’re undoubtedly looking at Kyogo. He had his troubles with injury but he was supremely exciting. He is absolutely lightning-quick.“He’s 27-years-old but he’s definitely a player who we can look for to take the next step up and potentially move into the Premier League.”"

Kyogo was sidelined with injuries for a large part of the previous season. If he had not missed so many games, he could have had an even better campaign.

As far as rumours around him are concerned, Kyogo has not been linked with a move away from Celtic in this summer transfer window. He has a long time left on his current deal as well and thus, it does not feel like he will be leaving anytime in the near future.

Also, with Champions League football coming up, it is hard to see the club letting go of their star man even if a huge offer arrived at their table.
