Celtic have made some significant additions to their first-team squad this season. They turned the loan deals of Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jota and Daizen Maeda permanent. That was very important to keep the core of Ange Postecoglou’s double-winning squad together. At the same time, they have also signed Benjamin Siegrist, Aaron Mooy and Alexandro Bernabei permanently, and Moritz Jenz on a season-long loan from Lorient with an option to buy.
More signings are expected as well over the coming weeks, but at the same time, it looks like the Hoops have an eye on strengthening their youth ranks as well.
They had tried to sign Dylan Reid from St Mirren and even had a transfer bid accepted for the youngster, who had also been linked with the Rangers and Benfica. Ultimately though, he decided to stay on with the Buddies.
This time around, it looks like the Hoops have succeeded in adding to their youth ranks. As tweeted out by Fraser Fletcher, Celtic have signed Justin Osagie from West Ham United:

The player is eligible for England and Nigeria and can play Centre back and midfield 🏴🇳🇬
Celtic have signed West Ham United youngster
Osagie is a highly rated 17-year-old, who can play in central defence as well as in midfield. He is eligible to represent both England and Nigeria at the international level.
Pictures emerged on social media of him holding a Celtic shirt with his name on it inside an empty Parkhead, so while a signing has not been made official till now, it appears to be only a matter of time.
Even though Osagie would not be expected to feature in the first-team picture in the near future, this is certainly a good addition for Celtic’s youth ranks. The club have had a tough time holding on to rising youngsters in recent years but still have some promising names in their ranks like Bosun Lawal, Rocco Vata, Tobi Oluwayemi and others.
