Ligue 1 side have made enquiry about Celtic player
Celtic have made quite a few additions to their squad this summer as they head into one of the most important seasons in a long time. Things are certainly looking up for Ange Postecoglou’s side at this point of time. Not only are they coming off of a double-winning campaign, but they have most probably strengthened that team.
Of course, one of the worries will be whether they have been able to replace Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic adequately but it remains to be seen how that works out. For the time being, Celtic certainly look very strong and will be hoping to make their mark on the Champions League, when they make their return to the group stage after quite a few years away.
One of the areas where they have strengthened is their defence. The club have signed Cameron Carter-Vickers on a permanent basis, after he enjoyed an incredible spell on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. And they have also brought in Moritz Jenz on loan from Ligue 1 side, Lorient.
On the other hand, it looks like another Ligue 1 side, Toulouse, are interested in a Celtic defender in the form of Stephen Welsh and have made an enquiry about him. As tweeted out by Anthony Joseph:

Welsh is not a regular starter for Celtic right now by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, he struggled for playing time last season and will not be helped by the arrival of Jenz. Thus, it will be interesting to see what his future looks like.
He has played quite a bit of football in pre-season though thanks to the fact that Carl Starfelt has been out with an injury.
As a result, Welsh could very well be the one lining up on Flag Day, when Celtic face Aberdeen in the Premiership opener.
