Celtic have been very busy this summer when it comes to signing players. The club have already completed permanent deals for Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jota and Daizen Maeda, after they shined at Parkhead while on loan. On the other hand, the Hoops have also signed Benjamin Siegrist on a free transfer and Alexandro Bernabei from Lanus, making him the first Argentine player in the Glasgow giants’ history.

On the other hand, there have been quite a few exits as well although there have not been any which have grabbed the headlines. The most significant ones have perhaps been the loan exits of Vasilis Barkas and Ismaila Soro, and the permanent departure of Boli Bolingoli.

Now though, the club could be set to lose another one of their players, who has struggled to make an impact in Ange Postecoglou’s side, in the form of Christopher Jullien.

As reported by Sporx (via Daily Record), Trabzonspor have Jullien on a list of potential targets.

Jullien was signed by Celtic in the summer of 2019 in a £7 million transfer deal, making him one of the most expensive signings in the club’s history. And to be honest, the Frenchman went on to have a very good debut campaign with the Hoops.

Not only was he solid at the back on most occasions, but he also offered a lot going forward, and even ended up scoring the League Cup-winning goal against the Rangers that season.

He would struggle with some fitness issues at the start of the following campaign before suffering a serious injury, which kept him out for more than a year. He returned to fitness earlier in 2022 but has not been able to break into Postecoglou’s plans and as a result, a move away from Parkhead might be the best step for all parties involved.
