It has already been a couple of months since Tom Rogic departed Celtic in an emotional farewell after spending nearly a decade at Parkhead. His exit did come a bit out of the blue, as it was believed that the Australian international’s contract with the club ran till the summer of 2023. But it appeared that he was looking for a new challenge.

Rogic won a long list of titles and produced some incredible moments that will live on forever, during his stay with Celtic. And with the Hoops getting their hands on the Premiership title last season, his departure marked a fitting end to a fantastic Parkhead career.

But since leaving Celtic, Rogic is yet to find a new club. Furthermore, he unexpectedly pulled out from the Australian national team squad recently and is believed to have not taken calls from their coach Graham Arnold.

Naturally, when this came to light, people were concerned about Rogic and his well-being. Ange Postecoglou though seems to be convinced that he is fine. As reported by the Daily Record, the Celtic manager said:

"“I think Tom’s fine mate. Has anyone spoken to Tom? No one spoke to him when he was here for 10 years either, that’s Tom!“I’d be more concerned if he was out there talking to people. Leave him alone, he’s fine. He’ll get his next move done and I’m sure he’s in a great place. As far as I know, and I haven’t been in contact with him, but the people I know say that he’s got no problems.”"

Celtic boss comments on Rogic amid concerns about the midfielder

Rogic left Celtic with the intention of finding some new challenges elsewhere after such a long time at the club. He was heavily linked with a move to Indonesia as well but that did not end up materialising. Now, it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.

Postecoglou’s comments on Rogic will go some way in reducing the fears of the fans about the midfielder’s situation but until there is any official update on him, there will be some concerns naturally.

We can only hope that everything is fine with Rogic and wish him the best for whatever comes in his future, and wherever he ends up after this.
