Celtic find themselves in an interesting situation when it comes to their options up top. The club have two excellent strikers in the form of Kyogo and Giorgos Giakoumakis right now. Both have proven their ability infront of the net last season and played a huge part in the Hoops’ Premiership triumph.

But one cannot hide the fact that both have had a lot of injury problems as well and as a result, it would be a smart move on the part of the club to bring in another striker this summer, especially if Albian Ajeti finds a way out of Parkhead.

The club had been recently linked with a move for Jordan Larsson but it looks like that move might not be on the cards for the Hoops. One player that they should keep an eye on is Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi.

The Chelsea striker has bounced around on loan from one club to another in recent years and he could be perfect for Celtic this season.

Celtic should keep eye on Chelsea striker this summer

During his time at Marseille, Batshuayi was very highly rated and he has made a lot of appearances for the Belgian national team as well.

He has never quite found his feet at Chelsea though, or most of the clubs, that he has been on loan at. The striker is coming off of a very promising campaign with Besiktas though.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Batshuayi scored 14 goals and provided 5 assists in 42 appearances for Besiktas last season.

Also, the Belgian is 28 years of age and in the middle of his prime. Thus, he could prove to be a very good loan signing for the Hoops, especially with Champions League football coming up.

Batshuayi’s career might have never reached the heights that it was expected to but he has played for some top clubs nonetheless, and has plenty of experience in Europe.
