Celtic are heading towards one of their most exciting seasons in a long, long time. The club managed to win the league against all expectations last time around and that means that they are going to be in the Champions League group stage after many years. On the other hand, they also have the Scottish crown to defend against the Rangers.

Celtic have already strengthened their squad to some extent this summer but at the same time, more must be done, heading into such an important campaign.

While incomings are vital, outgoings are equally so, especially when it comes to players who are not expected to make much of an impact at the club next season. Albian Ajeti appears to be one such player.

Ajeti was signed from West Ham United in a transfer deal believed to be around £5 million. He arrived at Parkhead with a lot of hopes riding on him but it is safe to say that it has been a huge disappointment till now. While the Swiss striker did make a bright start, his career at Parkhead has gone nowhere since then and an exit might be best for all parties involved.

Celtic player should complete exit this summer

During his time at FC Basel, Ajeti was very highly rated and many believed that he was bound to be Switzerland’s number one striker. Things have not turned out that way since he left though.

At the moment, there appears to be very little chance of him getting any meaningful minutes at Parkhead. But on the other hand, if he did leave, Celtic could potentially bring in someone who would arrive and make a positive contribution to this team.

Postecoglou will need as many options as possible next season considering how much football Celtic are expected to play.

The Hoops have been linked with Jordan Larsson recently and that could be a very exciting signing for Celtic, for both on field and off field reasons. But it is unlikely that the club would be able to pull it off, if Ajeti stays put at Parkhead.
