English club are interested in £3 million Celtic player
Most of the transfer rumours surrounding Celtic recently have been about possible incomings. The club have made a blistering start this summer, bringing in Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jota, Daizen Maeda, Benjamin Siegrist and Alexandro Bernabei already, and are expected to make further additions over the coming weeks and months as well.
On the other hand, there are quite a few who have headed out of Celtic as well, at the end of their deals or on loan, and more could be set to follow. Christopher Jullien has been heavily linked with a move away recently as he has struggled to break into Ange Postecoglou’s plans, and there are many more who find themselves on the same boat.
One such player is Boli Bolingoli. He arrived at Celtic from Rapid Vienna in the summer of 2019, in the same window that Kieran Tierney left. But he has never been able to make his mark at the club and could very well be on his way out soon.
As reported by Courtney Friday (via The Reading Chronicle), Reading are keeping tabs on Bolingoli.
Championship club are keeping tabs on the struggling Celtic player
Bolingoli barely featured for Celtic last season and the club had even agreed a loan deal with Russian side, FC Ufa, at one point of time but the global situation meant that that did not end up happening.
It is pretty clear that Bolingoli does not have a long-term future at Celtic though, if something does not end up changing drastically soon.
Greg Taylor has been quite impressive in recent times under the management of Postecoglou. On the other hand, the club have signed Bernabei from Lanus this summer in a transfer deal believed to be around £3.75 million.
As a result, opportunities for Bolingoli are expected to be very, very limited at Celtic and a move away from the club might be the right step for him. It remains to be seen if Reading, or any other club, end up making a move for the Belgian.
