Jordan Larsson talks next club amid Celtic rumours

Celtic have some top class options up front right now in the form of Kyogo Furuhashi and Giorgos Giakoumakis. The Japanese star was an absolute standout for the Hoops last season and was arguably their best player when he was on the pitch. On the other hand, while the Greek international struggled in the first half of the campaign, he would rediscover his form in the second half and played a key role in the Premiership triumph. Daizen Maeda can play there as well.

But, despite the brilliance of Kyogo and Giakoumakis, both of them have struggled to remain fit for any considerable length of time, which has to be a worry for Ange Postecoglou. Maeda does not look at his best while going through the middle either, and Albian Ajeti could be on his way out of Parkhead this summer after failing to make his mark over the previous two campaigns.

One interesting name that they have been linked with recently is Jordan Larsson, who is a free agent after having left Spartak Moscow.

It is not hard to understand why the club are being linked with the Swedish international, considering what his father achieved at Parkhead. Larsson appears to be keeping his cards close to his chest at the moment though. As reported by Daily Record, he told Aftonbladet:

"“Unfortunately, I can not answer that.“I want a lot of things, but it’s not always just up to me. My agent has to answer those questions. I know everyone wants to know, but there is not much to say right now.”"

Larsson is not coming off of a great campaign but it would be a mistake to overlook how good he is capable of being when on top of his game.

He was brilliant during the 2020/21 campaign and was rated at a transfer fee around £15 million at one point of time.

Thus, if the opportunity is there to bring him to Parkhead this summer, especially as a free agent, Celtic should definitely consider taking it. It has the potential to be a dream move in more ways than one.
