Will he or won’t he? That is a question that has started to haunt Celtic fans in recent days as the transfer saga involving Jota has dragged on for much longer than what anybody could have anticipated. All the noises coming out of the media has suggested that a move is on the verge of completion but before anything official is announced, there will be a certain fear that things could fall through at the final step.

The Portuguese winger has been pictured all around the world on holiday during the off-season, and has not showed up to pre-season training for either Celtic or Benfica.

Some more rumours have emerged out of the Portuguese media recently, which have suggested that Jota is set to join Celtic tomorrow. It remains to be seen if that comes to fruition or not.

There appear to be some details about his contract with the Hoops as well. As reported by Record, Jota will sign for four seasons with Celtic.

Major details emerge about Jota’s contract with Celtic

Jota proved himself to be a very important player for Celtic last season and was one of the key reasons behind their unexpected double win in Ange Postecoglou’s first season in charge of the club.

Thus, it is very important that the Hoops are able to sign him on a permanent basis. Otherwise, they will have to go in search for a replacement this summer itself and that won’t be an easy task to say the least, considering the fact that Jota was arguably the best player in all of Scotland when he was on the top of his game.

Let’s see how the Jota transfer saga goes from here on forward but it does feel like we are very close to reaching its conclusion as things stand.
