Celtic have some top quality options up front right now. Kyogo Furuhashi has been an absolute sensation ever since arriving at Parkhead last summer from Vissel Kobe. On the other hand, Giorgos Giakoumakis faced his struggles in the first half of the previous campaign but has been in stunning form since the turn of the year. Also, Daizen Maeda has done a decent job when he has played there.
On the other hand though, Ange Postecoglou will have a few worries as well. The biggest is the fact Kyogo and Giakoumakis have struggled to remain fit for any considerable length of time. Maeda looks better when coming off the left. And Albian Ajeti is expected to leave this summer, after failing to make his mark at Celtic.
As a result, it is believed that Celtic are on the lookout for a striker this summer, and they might have the perfect chance to bring a familiar face to Parkhead in the form of Jordan Larsson.
As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Larsson is set to leave Spartak Moscow as his contract has been terminated and he is available on a free transfer now:

Larsson has already received some approaches as it’s an opportunity now on free transfer.
Why Larsson could be the perfect fit for Celtic
We don’t need to go into how great of a player his father was, but the 25-year-old himself is pretty good when on top of his game.
Celtic were linked with him last summer as well, but back then, he was coming off a brilliant 2020/21 campaign and was rated at a transfer fee around £15 million. The picture is very different now, as he has struggled last season and is available as a free agent.
While that might raise a few questions about a potential move, one cannot overlook how good he was just a year ago. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Larsson scored 15 goals and provided 5 assists in 30 appearances for Spartak Moscow in the 2020/21 season.
Also, a striker with Larsson’s attributes can thrive in Postecoglou’s system of football if he can make the adjustment to the Scottish game.
Larsson is a well-travelled striker though and should be accustomed to different styles of football. At the same time, he is just 25 years of age and is on the verge of entering his prime. And let’s not ignore the absolute fairy tale story that him coming to Celtic would be.
