Tom Rogic brought an end to a nearly decade-long run at Celtic at the end of last season, saying his final goodbyes to the Parkhead faithful as a Premiership champion. While the Australian might have had his ups and downs during his time, overall, he enjoyed a great career in Scotland and will forever be associated with some of the biggest moments and achievements in the history of the club.

Now though, it is time for a change for Rogic as he sets in search of a new challenge. Almost incredibly, he is still just 29 years of age and should have plenty left in the tank to offer.

Thus, it came as a big surprise when Rogic was linked with a lucrative move to Indonesian club Persija Jakarta. With all due respect to Liga 1, it is not a league that players in Europe are known for heading, especially in the middle of their primes.

Now, as reported by The Scottish Sun, Rogic has declined the move to Persija Jakarta and is still looking for a new club, with several A-League teams keen to recruit him.

Rogic has turned down lucrative move as search for new club after leaving Celtic continues

Rogic proved last season that on his day, he is still a top player. He was one of the key reasons behind Celtic’s Premiership and League Cup double, and came up with some incredible moments of brilliance throughout the course of the campaign.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Rogic scored 46 goals and provided 49 assists in 272 appearances during the course of his Celtic career.

Rogic still has the ability to be a big contributor to several clubs in Europe. But if he does not get an interesting enough offer in Europe, it would not be a surprise to see him head back to Australia, where he did not have an extensive career, thanks to playing the majority of his football for Celtic.
