Josip Juranovic proved himself to be one of Celtic’s key players last season as Ange Postecoglou’s side managed to win the Premiership and League Cup double against all odds and expectations, just a season after finishing 25 points behind the Rangers in the league and without a single piece of silverware.

Juranovic was signed from Legia Warsaw last summer for a transfer fee believed to be around £2.5 million and it has proven to be a huge bargain to say the least.

Juranovic was excellent for the Hoops last season, filling in wherever needed, whether it be at right-back, left-back or on the wings. That was vital, especially in the first half of the campaign, when options were pretty thin for Postecoglou. He has also been a key member for the Croatian national team recently and earned a lot of plaudits.

Thus, it is to be expected that he has caught the eyes of many clubs around Europe and rumours had broken out recently that Juranovic was expected to leave Celtic in the summer. But now, it does not look like that is the case.

Massive update on Juranovic’s future at Celtic

As reported by Football Scotland, Celtic have received no bids for Juranovic and he is believed to be rated at a transfer fee more than £15 million.

Thus, it remains to be seen how things turn out in the Juranovic transfer saga over the coming weeks and months, but it would be a bit of a surprise if the club decided to let him go ahead of a Champions League group stage campaign.

Juranovic is an important member of this Celtic team and they must hold on to his services for as long as they can, although, if the right offer came in, one cannot rule out his exit either. That is just the reality of the situation at Parkhead.
