Karamoko Dembele was one of the most highly-rated youngsters in the world while coming through the youth ranks at Celtic and had even been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City at one point of time. It is safe to say that things have not quite worked out for him since then, as he has not been successful in making the jump to the senior level for the Hoops.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he made 10 appearances for Celtic, scoring once and playing just 132 minutes of football in total.

Bad luck was a major factor in that though. Towards the end of the 2020/21 season, it had looked like he was starting to make an impact on Celtic’s senior team. But he would end up suffering an injury in pre-season ahead of the 2021/22 campaign. Who knows how things could have turned out if he had not.

Dembele’s deal with Celtic ran out this summer and as tweeted out by The Secret Scout, the player’s new club will be announced over the next week and an agreement is already in place.

Karamoko’s next club set to be announced soon as he departs Celtic

Dembele was considered as an incredible talent while coming through the youth ranks but did not end up making his mark at the senior level at Celtic.

That does not mean that he won’t be able to do that at a different club though and it will be very interesting to see where he ultimately ends up, following his Celtic exit.

Considering the incredible amount of interest that was there in the player while coming through the youth ranks as well as the fact that he is still 19 years of age, there should not be any lack of interest in Dembele. Now, it remains to be seen if he can end up proving the Hoops wrong for not giving him more playing time and opportunities.
