Celtic have already made a great start to their summer transfer window by signing Cameron Carter-Vickers on a permanent basis from Tottenham Hotspur. This is a huge boost for Ange Postecoglou’s side, as the United States international had been one of their best players last season and a key part of their Premiership and League Cup double. It was a major move for the Hoops and the transfer fee could rise up to a club-record £10 million with add-ons.

With Champions League group stage football secured though, and the financial boost that comes with it, Celtic are not expected to stop there and should make further additions over the summer.

One player that they must definitely sign is Jota, after the Portuguese winger enjoyed a spectacular season on loan at Celtic last time around as well. And fortunately, it looks like the move might not be far away from completion.

As reported by Record (via 67 Hail Hail), Celtic are to complete their move for Jota by the end of the week.

Celtic look set to complete the massive transfer this week in a huge boost for the Hoops

Jota was absolutely incredible for Celtic last season and on top of his game, looked like arguably the best player in all of Scotland.

He would lose some of his form in the second half of the season, following his return from an injury but would then turn things up a notch again in the post-split fixtures as Celtic marched their way to the Premiership title.

Jota brings a lot to the table other than just his goals and assists. He is spectacular on the ball, can get past his man, has that extra bit of flair and trickery, and is the kind of player who can conjure up something out of nothing at times.

An attacking team like Celtic does need that kind of a player to thrive and as a result, it is great to see that they seem to be on the verge of signing the Portuguese winger on a permanent basis. They are believed to be ready to trigger the option to buy transfer fee of around €7.5 million to bring him in from Benfica.
