Neil Lennon might have achieved an incredible amount at Celtic, both as a player and as a manager, but his time at Parkhead might always end up being defined by his last few months in the managerial hot seat. With 10IAR up for grabs, the Hoops went completely off the tracks. The Northern Irishman would be gone by February but by then the damage had been done and there was no chance of a comeback.

Celtic would go on to finish the season 25 points behind the Rangers in the Premiership table and without a single trophy. One of the most disappointing campaigns in the history of the club to say the least.

Ange Postecoglou has come in and turned things around though, guiding the Hoops to a Premiership and League Cup double last season and getting the best out of a number of players.

One man who has not gotten a lot of chances under the new manager though is Ismaila Soro, and as a result the Ivory Coast midfielder could find himself on his way out of the club soon. Recently, he was linked with a move to Cypriot First Division side, Omonia Nicosia, where he would reunite with Lennon, under whose management he had arrived at Parkhead. But now, there is an update on the situation.

As reported by 24Sports (via 67 Hail Hail), Omonia Nicosia have denied the notion that they are interested in Soro.

Thus, it raises new questions about the future of the midfielder, who does not seem to have many chances of breaking into the first-team at Celtic anytime soon.

On the other hand, the Hoops are being linked with Lommel SK’s Brazilian midfielder Vinicius Souza to fill in their defensive midfield position following the departure of Nir Bitton at the end of last season.
