Celtic ended the 2021/22 season on a high note. They won the Scottish League Cup and the Premiership title as well, completing an unlikely double against all odds. That being said, fans across the world will be hoping for even better next season, with the Scottish giants making their return into the Champions League group stage after a long absence from Europe’s elite competition.

Before the start of the 2021/22 season, almost no one had expected Postecoglou to guide the Hoops to a domestic double, as it was expected to be a transitional campaign for the club. But the incredible success means that expectations have been raised a lot going into the next campaign.

But before that, the Hoops will have to deal with the summer transfer window. There are several areas that they might need to improve in and it appears that Ange Postecoglou has his eyes on adding another striker to the squad.

Celtic already have Kyogo and Giorgos Giakoumakis in their ranks and both have done brilliant jobs till now. Albian Ajeti is expected to be on his way out though and the Hoops might need to find a replacement for the Swiss striker. And it looks like they have a Moroccan international in their sights.

Celtic have their eyes on Moroccan international striker

As reported by the Daily Record, Celtic are chasing the signature of Ryan Mmaee, currently playing for Ferencvaros. It looks like the club have done extensive data analysis on the Moroccan international.

Having already played for quite a few clubs, Mmaee has come into his own for Ferencvaros in recent times and has been brilliant.

With Ferencvaros, the 24-year-old lifted the Hungarian league and the Hungarian cup at the end of the season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, the striker scored 19 goals and provided 11 assists from 37 appearances in all competitions.

His versatility should make him an attractive option for Celtic as well. While he represents the Morocco national team, he came through the ranks playing for Belgium’s national youth sides.
