Celtic have enjoyed a great season to say the least. Coming into the campaign, not many would have expected them to even challenge the Rangers for the Premiership title, forget winning it. But that is exactly what Ange Postecoglou’s side have managed to achieve, in what has truly been a remarkable turnaround on the part of the Hoops.

A large part of the credit lies with the new arrivals, who have come in and immediately made an impact on the first-team picture at Celtic.

One such player is Liel Abada, who was a teenager when he arrived last summer. Now 20 years of age, he has definitely shown that he can be a major part of this team in the future and even won PFA’s Young Player of the Season award.

Interestingly though, he is already been linked with a move away from Celtic in the upcoming summer transfer window. But as reported by Glasgow Times, Abada told Israeli outlet sport5.co.il about a potential exit from Parkhead:

"“It’s not right now to talk about what will happen next.“I just finished my first season at Celtic. I’m having fun here, I’m fine here. What will happen next? I cannot know.“I will be with family and friends and prepare ourselves for next season. There is a team and at the moment it is not right to talk about what will happen.“Next season will be very significant. It’s my childhood dream to play in the Champions League.”"

Abada has only been at Celtic for one season till now and already showed a lot of promise, and played a key role in their double-winning campaign, even if he was not always the starter.

Thus, it would be a huge surprise if Celtic and Abada part ways anytime in the near future, unless an offer comes in that neither party can turn down.

Of course, following the arrival of Daizen Maeda in January, Abada has found playing time a bit more difficult to come by but then, that is only natural for someone who is just 20 years of age.

Let’s see what the future holds as anything can happen in football. But it would be a major surprise if Abada is not at Celtic come next season.
