Celtic have two brilliant strikers at the club right now in the form of Kyogo Furuhashi and Giorgos Giakoumakis. Both signed off the season in style with braces against Motherwell as the Hoops celebrated their Premiership triumph with a 6-0 victory over Motherwell. At the same time though, the club might need to bring in another forward in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The first reason is that Albian Ajeti is expected to leave the club this summer, after struggling to break into Postecoglou’s first-team plans.

The second reason is that both Kyogo and Giakoumakis have appeared to be a bit injury prone through the course of their first seasons at Parkhead, with each spending months out on the sidelines. Thus, Celtic must have a back up option who can come in and get the job done in their absence. Daizen Maeda has a lot of qualities but he does not look like someone who can lead the line on his own.

One player that Celtic should have their eyes on is Chelsea youngster Armando Broja, who is currently on loan at Southampton. Bringing him to Parkhead on a temporary basis might prove to be a transfer masterstroke on the part of the Hoops if they can pull it off.

Why the Chelsea youngster has the potential to be a brilliant loan signing for Celtic

Broja has all the qualities to be a top striker and many even believe that he can be the starter at Chelsea one day. He can run with the ball, is a physical presence up top and has decent finishing inside the box as well.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Broja has scored 9 goals and provided an assist in 37 appearances for Southampton this season.

Now, while those might not be the most impressive numbers, it is worth remembering that Southampton are not enjoying a good season. Broja is their second highest goal scorer of the campaign till now and has the highest goals per 90 minutes average as well. Also, he is just 20 years of age, and has plenty of room for improvement.

Chelsea have shown that they are willing to send highly-rated youngsters to Celtic in the past, with Charly Musonda being a great example. And with guaranteed Champions League football as well, the Hoops should definitely give it a try.
