Celtic are champions of Scotland once again. That sounds so good, especially after how the previous season turned out for the Hoops, losing their chance to create history by winning 10IAR, finishing 25 points behind the Rangers and failing to win a single piece of silverware.
Ange Postecoglou has come in and turned this club completely around and no matter how much credit he is given for the job that he has done, it won’t be enough. Not many Celtic fans would have even imagined challenging for the title, forget winning it.
Not only have they won it, but they won it with a game to go and rest assured there will be a party atmosphere at Parkhead when the newly crowned Premiership champions take to the pitch against Motherwell in the final league game of the season.
Naturally, the Celtic fans were overjoyed with the achievement and they have every right to be and many of them took to Twitter to let it be known:
Fans have reacted as Celtic were crowned the champions of Scotland
What a season it has been for Celtic. A lot of people did not have any hopes when Postecoglou was brought in. Even fewer had any left after they lost three out of their first six games in the league. And yet, they have not lost one single game in the Premiership since then, and are rightfully the champions of Scotland, having beaten the Rangers both home and away.
This is their 10th title in 11 seasons but feels just a bit more satisfying knowing how the previous season went down.
Postecoglou has built this side on the mantra of never stopping, yet tonight, everyone associated with the club can do that, have a look back, see how far they have come and be proud.
A spot in the Champions League group stage has been secured as a result and hopefully we have an even better 2022/23 season to look forward to. But that’s for another day. Now is the time to celebrate.
Rejoice, Bhoys! Celtic Football Club are the Champions of Scotland.
