The 2021/22 season is far from being over when it comes to Celtic with the Premiership still up for grabs. But the fuss surrounding the upcoming summer transfer window has already started. While running as the favourites to lift the title this season, the Hoops might have already started to set their summer plans in motion as well.

It is believed that Ange Postecoglou is keen on using the summer transfer window to improve the squad further by signing players. But he is also interested in offloading those who do not appear to have a future at Parkhead.

Boli Bolingoli is expected to be one such player, heading out of Parkhead in the upcoming summer transfer window. Signed from Rapid Vienna in the summer of 2019, the Belgian has never quite nailed down his spot in the first-team and it looks like his days at Celtic might be numbered.

As reported by Football Insider, Celtic do not expect Bolingoli to play for the club again. He is considered surplus to requirements at Parkhead right now. He made his last appearance for the club against Motherwell in October 2021 and that might very well turn out to be his last match for the Hoops.

In total, he has made only two appearances this season. He is expected to leave in the summer, whether on a permanent basis or a loan, given he has a contract at Parkhead until the summer of 2023.

Having failed to make the line-up regularly, Bolingoli had agreed to join Russian club FC Ufa on loan in the winter transfer window. But that did not go through as a result of the current circumstances.

Thus, Bolingoli finds himself in an unenviable position right now and has even been pictured training alone back in Belgium recently.
