Celtic appear to be closing in on the Premiership title following their 2-0 win over Ross County restored their 6-point lead over the Rangers, with just 4 more league games to go. While there is still a lot more work to be done, including another Glasgow Derby to navigate through, this is certainly the Hoops’ title to lose from here on. Enjoying a vastly superior goal difference as well, two wins from the last four should be enough to crown them champions of Scotland.

It has been a remarkable turnaround to say the least. The club had suffered a complete collapse last season, finishing 25 points behind the Rangers in the Premiership and trophyless.

It had looked like the Rangers might have had a chance to go on a big run of their own, with Celtic needing a major overhaul. The Hoops needed a new manager and a number of players, while key stars like Scott Brown, Kristoffer Ajer, Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie and several others headed for the exit door.

Now though, they are on the brink of doing a double and no matter how this season ends, it has to be considered a massive success. Some of the fans of the Rangers seem to be of the belief though that this is not a very good Celtic team, as one of them tweeted out:

There was no lack of support of this tweet, as it got nearly a thousand likes. Another one tweeted out:

Rangers fans in meltdown as Celtic close in on title

It looks like some of the Rangers fans are convinced that this is a terrible Celtic team and them winning the title would be completely on the shortcomings of the Ibrox side and nobody else.

Of course, one could point out the fact that Celtic have not lost a game in the league since losing three of their first six early on in the season, when they were still trying to find their feet under the management of Ange Postecoglou and rebuilding the squad.

Or maybe one could point out the fact that Celtic have beaten the Rangers both home and away in the league, the same team that has made it to the UEFA Europa League semi-finals and could possibly go beyond. But, let’s not bother with facts.
