Celtic fans were very disappointed with the performance that the Hoops put in against the Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final, losing 2-1 and ending their hopes of doing a treble. But when the two Glasgow giants will meet again next month, this time at Parkhead, the game is arguably going to be even bigger and could have major implications on the fate of the Premiership title.

Thus, this time around, Celtic will have to be on top of their game. They are leading the title race as things stand but we all know how quickly things can change in football.

They did win the previous two Glasgow Derbies, 3-0 at Parkhead and 2-1 at Ibrox, before their disappointing Scottish Cup defeat. Thus, we know that this team is capable of getting the better of the Rangers. Now, it remains to be seen if the application is there.

The Ibrox side have already suffered a double blow for that game though. As reported by BBC, Aaron Ramsey and Kemar Roofe have been ruled out of upcoming games due to injury including the one against Celtic as Giovanni van Bronckhorst said:

"“Aaron had to come off with a hamstring problem. We have assessed him this week and hopefully we will have him back around the Leipzig home game.“We also had a problem with Kemar Roofe after the game. The next day, he felt his knee. For him, it is the same – he will be out for some weeks and hopefully also back for me to pick around the Leipzig home game.”"

It goes without saying that this is a major blow for the Rangers, who are already missing Alfredo Morelos as well.

On the other hand, Celtic cannot focus on what is happening at Ibrox though and they will know that they need to be on the top of their games when they come up against the Rangers at Parkhead.

A win will almost guarantee them the title. On the other hand, if they can even get a draw, it would put them in a brilliant position to go on and win it.

But before that, Celtic have a tricky trip to Victoria Park, to take on Ross County, who have been unbeaten at home since last December, when it was the Hoops that got a 2-1 win there.
