Celtic will know that they need to bounce back from the disappointment of their Scottish Cup semi-final elimination at the hands of the Rangers as quickly as possible, with the Premiership title still pretty much up for grabs. The Hoops do enjoy a 6 point lead with 5 league games to go but there is no place for complacency, as we know how quickly things can change in football, especially with a Glasgow Derby still to be played.

Celtic face Ross County next in the Premiership, away from home, at Victoria Park. And it promises to be a tricky task indeed.

The last time Celtic had travelled to Victoria Park, back in December, they had had to wait for a 97th minute winner from Anthony Ralston. Incidentally, Ross County have not lost at home since that game and that run even includes a 3-3 draw against the Rangers. Thus, the Hoops might have to play their shocks off to get the three points there.

There is some good news for Postecoglou’s side though. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Giorgos Giakoumakis can be seen training with his teammates in a story posted by Celtic on Instagram. Thus, the Greek striker appears to have recovered from the issue that kept him out against the Rangers last weekend.

It goes without saying that if Giakoumakis is indeed back in the mix against Ross County then it would be a massive boost for Celtic.

Not too long ago, many people had written the Greek striker off as a transfer mistake, but he has completed a remarkable turnaround since the turn of the year and might very well have been the club’s best player this year till now.

The last time that Celtic faced Ross County, in March, they won 4-0 with Giakoumakis scoring a hattrick on that day.

The Hoops certainly missed his presence up top against the Rangers and hopefully, that won’t be the case against Ross County this weekend.
