It goes without saying that a lot of Celtic stars deserve credit for the performances that they put in against the Rangers away at Ibrox in the club’s 2-1 win. It was their first win at the stadium since 2019, and it is safe to say that this was one of the most important results of the season for Ange Postecoglou’s side, who now find themselves sitting 6 points ahead of their Glasgow rivals, with just 6 games left to be played.

Of course, it was not as simple as the previous game against the Rangers, when Celtic had virtually put it to bed before half-time. But it was not expected to be.

The Rangers made a blistering start to things and took an early lead, but it did not last long, as Tom Rogic would find the back of the net soon afterwards to make it 1-1. And then Cameron Carter-Vickers came up with the winner just before half-time.

Another very impressive aspect of this performance was Celtic at the back. And Greg Taylor was arguably the man of the match on this occasion. Andy Robertson commented clapping emojis on the player’s Instagram post after the game. The likes of Scott Sinclair and Kristoffer Ajer posted positive comments as well.

Robertson grew up as a Celtic fan and was a part of the club’s youth set up at one point of time as well. Thus, it would not come as a surprise if he was watching the Glasgow Derby and must have been delighted with what he saw.

Taylor has faced a lot of criticism over his time at Celtic, but nobody can deny that he put in a brilliant display against the Rangers.

Celtic now are in the driver’s seat in the league and it remains to be seen if they can get past the finish line.
