Celtic have shaken up their squad significantly since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager. The likes of Odsonne Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer, Ryan Christie, Scott Brown, Olivier Ntcham and several others departed Parkhead in the summer. On the other hand, the Hoops brought in twelve players, ten on a permanent basis and two on loan, and then made five more additions in the January transfer window.

But it looks like the club are already making transfer plans for the upcoming summer transfer window as well.

One player who Celtic have been linked with heavily in recent weeks is Christopher Scott, who is believed to be looking to leave Bayern Munich in the summer. And it appears that the Hoops are very serious about trying to sign the exciting youngster.

Scott’s current deal with Bayern Munich runs out next summer but the club have an option to extend it by another year. And while the Bundesliga champions are expected to take up that option, it is believed that they will then let the youngster leave for a transfer fee. As reported by the Daily Record, a source close to the negotiations said:

"“Celtic are serious contenders because they are a massive club and they are very serious about trying to sign him.”"

Scott has been very highly-rated in Germany while coming through the youth ranks and has even made a couple of senior appearances for Bayern Munich.

His style of play appears to be a very good fit for Postecoglou’s system and as a result, if Celtic are able to sign him, it has the potential to be an excellent move on their part.

Having come through the youth system at Bayer Leverkusen, Scott’s style of play has been often compared to that of Kai Havertz.

His numbers at the youth levels for both Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich have been exceptional.
