Celtic will know the importance of the upcoming Glasgow Derby against the Rangers, set to be played at Ibrox. A win away for the Hoops could potentially end the title race. Even a draw would be a huge result though and a massive blow to the hopes of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side. As things stand, the gap between the two teams is three points, in favour of Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Thus, it is safe to say that the pressure is on the Rangers to get a win out of this game. Anything other than all three points would be viewed as a negative result.

But heading into the game against Celtic, the Ibrox side have been handed a nightmare scenario. As reported by Football Scotland, a picture of Alfredo Morelos at Glasgow Airport has emerged, with the Rangers striker on crutches.

Morelos was sent back from Colombian international duty with a thigh injury and as a result, his availability for the game against Celtic is in doubt.

Now, we all know that Morelos’ record against Celtic is not good. But at the same time, he has been key for the Rangers this season, and arguably their best player.

Thus, if Van Bronckhorst does not have the Colombian available against Celtic, it would surely be a major blow for them.

But at the same time, Celtic need to be very careful and prepare for the best version of the Rangers. Their recent record away at Ibrox is pretty bad and the last time that they won a game there was in 2019.

Also, it would not be a huge surprise if Morelos manages to recover in time to feature in the Glasgow Derby at the weekend. Thus, it would be best for Postecoglou’s side to concentrate on themselves and not on what is going on at Ibrox.
