Celtic have always been shrewd negotiators when it comes to letting go of their players, especially in terms of securing a sell on fee. It’s looking increasingly likely that we will see a cash boost for the Hoops as talk continues to pick up about Kieran Tierney potentially leaving Arsenal for Real Madrid in what would be a stunning move for the Scottish international.

Tierney had a lot of critics when he made his move from Celtic to Arsenal in the summer 2019, but his performances there have impressed, and now, it looks like he could be on the move once again in the near future.

As reported by The Sunday Post, he has caught the eye of Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid are preparing a £50 million transfer bid for Tierney. Barcelona are also believed to be interested in the Arsenal player.

Ancelotti had tried to sign Tierney for Napoli, when he was their manager, before Arsenal reached a Scottish league record deal with Celtic. But now, it looks like the Italian is looking to sign the left-back once again.

Real Madrid could be set to make a huge transfer bid for former Celtic star

It’s believed that a sell on fee around 15% might be included in the deal with Arsenal. If that is indeed the case, then the Hoops could be set to receive a significant cash boost in the near future, if the move to Real Madrid, or some other European giant does end up happening.

That would be an amazing outcome for the player and would justify his move away from Parkhead to many who had raised eyebrows at the time.

We’ll have to wait and see how it works out over the weeks ahead, but the possibility of such a move just goes on to show how far Tierney has come since leaving Celtic.
