Celtic have enjoyed a solid season till now and will be surely looking to finish it on a high by lifting the Premiership title as well as the Scottish Cup. As we head into April, a treble is still on for the Hoops which is remarkable considering how bad they were last season and the circumstances in which Ange Postecoglou arrived as the manager of the club in the summer.

Thus, he deserves a lot of credit for the turnaround that Celtic have made this season, as do the players, many of whom only arrived last summer but have fitted into their new surroundings very quickly.

One massive problem that Celtic have faced throughout the season though is with injuries, with several key players going down at one point or another, and having to spend significant time on the sidelines. And that has been the case for some of their youngsters out on loan as well.

Scott Robertson suffered an injury while out on loan at Crewe Alexandra and the League One club confirmed on their official website that he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season and is now back at Celtic to continue his rehab, after he underwent a successful operation.

This will be a big blow for the youngster without any doubt. He had been sent out on loan after struggling for playing time at Parkhead.

The 20-year-old did play a decent amount of football out on loan at the League One club and showed some good potential. Now, it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.

His current deal with Celtic is believed to run out in the summer of 2023 and till now, Robertson has made only one senior for the club according to stats from Transfermarkt.
